There is a scan circulating that is more current, but I don't have that issue of Hana To Yume yet since technically it's not due out until 8/20.  Anyway, I do have scans of two other pics that I haven't seen around yet.  ...or maybe I missed them...  So, if anyone is interested here they are:

Since I didn't have time to do the whole chapter before I go to work, I just had to post pictures of my favorite character.  He's been absent for so long!!!!

Skip Beat Anime!!

I'm so excited about the news of a Skip Beat anime that I had to post.  I only had time to scan Hoshi wa Utau so far so I decided to scan the color pics of SB in this recent issue of Hana to Yume.  I'll try to scan the Skip Beat chapter by tomorrow night.  I have to work tonight and tomorrow but I should be able to work it in.

I think the anime pics look pretty good and if anyone doesn't think so, there is always the chance that the anime team will get better with time.  With a manga series about acting there should be lots of good fillers they can do.  I usually hate filler eps but I can see them having lots of options (unlike Bleach which makes me sad and IMHO ruins the storyline).  At least, with fillers it extends the anime.

OK, big pics if you click the cut! )

Reading Meme: How much have you read?

I got this meme from [info]ladyclodia

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed. Well let's see.
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicise those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them
5) Put a star next to those you've only partially read.

Well, it's been five days so I figured I better post about the vacation before it gets really really old (like my vacation to California in April I still haven't posted about...).

We went to Michigan for vacation because as most of you know that's where we were born and raised and we really miss the lakes. Afterall, it's the Great Lakes State and you can see the lakes from space so it's something really huge to Michiganders.

We stopped at a hotel on our way to the campsite because we got a late start. (J had to take a conference call.) The next morning we went to Mackinaw City and checked into a hotel there and then took a ferry to Mackinac Island (pronounced Mackinaw not MackinaCK). We knew it was going to rain so we cut our camping down by a day and hung out there so we wouldn't be drenched. Q had only been to Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island once before (if you don't count the time I was pregnant) so she had a lot of fun running around and riding bikes and avoiding the excretions from the horses lol. That's the only downside of that island. It's so cool that they don't have cars and just use their feet or bikes or horse drawn carriages, but the stink is a bit much at times and you have to avoid puddles. They have street cleaners though, but can you imagine having that job?! Yuck.

Mackinac Island is known for their fugde/candy shops.  You can see stand in front of the stores and watch them making fudge through the windows.  it's really cool.  We bought some fudge and it was too much so I took it to work and begged them to eat it.  It was super delicious though.  Two of the ladies said it was the best fudge they ever had.  I'm actually eating some salt water taffy we got there on the island.  Super-YUM!!!  I only buy it when I go there.  Q and J rode bikes around the island but I wasn't feeling all that great so I just looked around at the shops.  Q bought a book in one of the stores that is from a Michigan author who writes stories with Michigan city names and their scary stories.  She wanted it for the camping trip for around the campfire.  She got Michigan Chillers The Spirits of St. Ignace, since we were going to camp there in the Hiawatha National Forest.  If you click on the campground picture on the bottom right you can see our campsite. We were number 3.  When they say steep slope to the lake they really mean it.  Climbing down was so much fun, but up was the biggest workout you could ever get.  Imagine scaling a building but the building is made of loose sand and you keep sinking halfway down from where you started.

You can see pictures here.  I was not keen on camping and I don't think I ever will be, but this place was so nice.  The only downfall was no showers so we had to wash in other ways.  I even washed my hair over the fire pit in the morning by using cups of water.  lol  Q and J washed their hair in the lake.  The bathrooms were not far from our campsite and were the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen!  They were nice enough to live in. lol  They smelled so nice going in.  It was scary though if you woke up in the middle of the night and had to go to the bathroom because you had to take the lantern and the shadows would dance around and we didn't know if there were bears or other wild animals.  We slept in a tent with air mattresses so it was comfy but very very cold at night.  The daddy long legs were huge and hung out on the mesh windows as if they were webs.  Cute but creepy...  Anyway, the highlight of the campsite was the beach.  It was soooooooooooooooo beautiful and clean and the weather was perfect.  Q didn't want to leave.  We were there for hours each day.  One day since I wasn't feeling that great J went back to the campsite and made lunch and brought it back to us.  The water in the lake was cold, but since it was warm out it was just right after you got used to it.  Hardly anyone was at the beach so it was very relaxing.  I actually took the latest issue of Shojo Beat (had to have that Gackt article) and read the whole thing along with the volume of Bleach I bought.  Vampire Knight was kind of confusing since I haven't read it but it was good.  I love the art.  Crimson Hero hasn't seemed to change a lot since I last read it, but I noticed that on one page was a picture of a guy and on the next page was a picture of a girl and they looked almost exactly the same! Even their hair!  LOL sorry Kidfree.

On the way home Q read almost an entire book (the michigan chillers one).  It was 35 chapters and we had read 4 of them at the camp so she read 31 chapters in the car.  She said she couldn't put it down.  She kept saying, "Oh man!  You're not going to believe what happens next!" lol  Only one other thing to mention about the trip.  We had breakfast in Mackinaw City the morning we left for the campsite and I paid with my credit card.  As we were leaving the city we went to the gas station and J tried to pay with his credit card (same back account) and it was declined.  We called the bank and it turned out that someone from some internet site tried to access our account and take our money.  J was being annoying and said "I told you not to order things from Japan!" LOL I was like, "that was ages ago! I haven't ordered anything in ages!"  Then I thought about it and my card was fine but his wasn't working.  He didn't apologize.  jerk...  Anway, so we had to close our account when we got back and transfer everything to a new account and I'm waiting for my new bankcard.  In the meantime we have to pay everything with cash and it's so inconvenient.  I am glad that they caught it and we didn't lose any money though.  It's a pain in the neck to change everything though when you pay bills online.

So, sorry nothing super exciting but I wanted to get this posted before I got even lazier. fufufu

When free costs 8 dollars and 40 cents. . .

Yeah, so I'm broke, which is why I try to get more hours at work. I really don't enjoy my work, but we have to pay for this new car. So, what have I been doing for my manga fix? I've been going to the library to borrow the books instead of buying them. YEAH THAT'S RIGHT BECAUSE THEY'RE FREE! Well, for procrastinators like me they actually cost money. The latest late fee is $8.40 and this is not the first time, but it is the highest fee I've had. I really have to get my act together. I could have bought a couple of manga volumes maybe even three if I would stop taking my books in late. The problem is I take out a lot at a time and that adds up even if it's one day. WAAAAAAHHH!!!

So even though we're broke my husband decides to buy a really expensive video card. I asked him if saving money only applied to me. He got really annoyed because honestly he can't play World of Warcraft with that old video card!!!! (seriously though it was really bad) So yesterday when he exchanged his new video card for another that actually worked I added Bleach 3 dvd to the cart LOL. (It has the lovely Ishida on it!) Q added "Bridge to Terabithia" to the cart. If you haven't seen it go now to the store to buy or rent that!!! So we did get a little present out of the trip.

I promised [info]wani_sama that I would post, so here it is. lol Ok, since this post was totally random and lame, I'm leaving you with a little YouTube, About a week ago Q was watching Shrek 2 over and over and we noticed a song in the credits by the band Frou Frou. We both said it at the same time that it was the singer from the cd we bought in California. We love the cd and it will always remind us of that trip...that i will someday write about. The singer's name is Imogen Heap. So I looked it up on YouTube and found one with Sanji and Fruits Basket. It has other anime in there (including Host Club) but I don't watch any of those. So anyway, I hope you enjoy it!

Too Busy to Post!

gackt-wet

So guys, I was wanting to post about something that happened this weekend, but I'm so pressed for time that I don't want to rush it.  I have to work tonight.  Tomorrow I sleep while Q is at school and then I take her to piano and karate.  I hope to make a post some time tomorrow.  Hopefully a real life post and also a OP post.  I'm behind in giving you guys links for the anime.  Actually i heard they might take a ton of OP anime down from YouTube because it's being redubbed by a new company.  It's going to be way better (I hope).  So, the only thing I accomplished on lj today is replying to posts and making a new lovely Gackt icon.  (^_^)  Nice!

Okay, since "Pirates: World's End" is coming out tomorrow I thought that you might be interested to see what Jack Sparrow sounds like in Japanese. Here's a challenge too, can any of you guess the voice of Jack? He is a popular voice in anime and he has been in Inuyasha, but only during a certain story arc. I think they did a really good job doing the dub. That must be so hard doing Jack Sparrow of all things.

Okay, I have to find a job, but I wanted to quick put up this post. (priorities) I seem to somehow be a tad behind on posting the OP anime links so here's the next episode. [info]wani_sama    you can look it up on the cds i gave you. The quality is better.   Kaya's voice is cute and the guys who does Jango ends up doing two other characters later in the series.

The quality for these videos are never good when you watch them on YouTube. You can download them from certain sites but YouTube is so convenient so sorry for the low quality. Kappei Yamaguchi's debut episode makes it worth it. Usopp is a great character.

Second Post of the Day!

I was planning on not making so many posts, but I was taIlking to Clodia about Kappei Yamaguchi (voice actor for Ranma / Inuyasha / L / Usopp) and I remembered that there was a song at the end of one of the One Piece arcs where the Strawhat Pirates (Mugiwara Pirates) all sang.  So if you want to hear Kappei sing, he is the one with the Usopp head bouncing on the lyrics.  For some reason the new embed thingy is not working for me, so I'm going with links.

"Everyday survival sugee mon gachi..."

Then I also thought you might want to see this cracktasticly funny One Piece AMV (Sanji as Denis Leary is hilarious!!!!!)

http://www.youtube.com/v/OctZ9UwrC3c

The song at the end of the AMV seems to be the English version of the second opening song for OP.  I had never heard it before in English.  Here's the Japanese version:

I really should not even be on the computer since I still have things to do before I leave for my vacation.  Just in case I haven't had a chance to mention it, I'm going to California.  I'll be in San Francisco and Sonora mostly.  I really wanted to post another chapter of One Piece and put up the links to the corresponding anime, but I haven't had time.  I still have some cleaning and packing and one last trip to the store.  I have to be up in five hours!  Anyway, I'll miss you guys since I won't be taking my laptop.  This will give you guys a chance to catch up with all the manga I have posted!!! YAY!!!

Anyway, I just wanted to get on the computer one last time and say BYE!!!  Please pray for my safe return!

san_zo_smile

I saw something really funny today (well technically yesterday but I haven't been to sleep yet). I was looking at the fountain of One Piece info that is called [info]grand_line_vine and I noticed someone's signature mentioned Naruto.  I haven't read Naruto in probably a year.  I was tired of all the Sasuke angst.  He's way too emo for me.  He's not even that cute why does he have so many fangirls!!!!  Maybe you have to be 15 to appreciate him...  ANYWAY, there is a rivalry between One Piece fans and Naruto fans.  One Piece is better of course. teehee  So this guy's signature said:

Naruto Chapter 347: Page 10 - Panel 1
In one panel, the author has managed to perfectly summarize his entire series.

I thought, "Oh, that will make things easier since I'm a year behind."
